This sterling silver wire wrapped Herkimer Diamond necklace is feminine and classic. It is adorned with round sterling silver beads in a beautiful soft design to complement the angular look of the square wire and crystal. I always enjoy playing with asymmetrical balance, and these “Herks” have given me a great opportunity. I chose a tear drop shape for this pendant because it seemed to complement the almost classic cut diamond shape this stone has. The pendant pictured is the exact pendant you will receive. It is one of a kind.
This pendant was named after Sara Seager who’s theoretical work led to the discover of the first exoplanet atmosphere. Her early work on exoplanets was done at a time when this was not a popular area of study, because no one saw a use for it. But Sara is an explorer. She was not even committed to a career in science at the time. For her, the most important part was learning and the value of the journey. Her love of life is shining gem among the planets.
