SOLD! If you really liked this item contact me and I can make another similar pendant. Each stone is naturally faceted and will vary in shape.
The twisted wire and ornate bail of this sterling silver wire wrapped Herkimer Diamond necklace give it a royal look. It is the jewelry version of ruffles on a shirt or dress. I decided to try another way of wrapping these challenging stones and this is the design that evolved as I worked. The pendant pictured is the exact pendant you will receive. It is one of a kind.
The style of this pendant reminds me of the victorian era, so I have named it after Ada Byron Lovelace, who is known as the “founder of scientific computing” and the “Enchantress of Numbers.” Her creative work is the result of a marriage between the math her mother pushed her into and the poetry that ran through her blood. She is an inspiration in a world where participation in intellectual pursuits was not encouraged for women.
“I never am really satisfied that I understand anything; because, understand it well as I may, my comprehension can only be an infinitesimal fraction of all I want to understand about the many connections and relations which occur to me, how the matter in question was first thought of or arrived at, etc., etc.” ~Ada Lovelace
